Book Detectives support library staff by searching library shelves for items patrons have placed on hold.
Successful Book Detectives work well independently, are focused and detail-oriented, can read small letters and numbers on book spines, and feel comfortable working on an iPad.
Book Detectives are 18-years-old or older and volunteer one day a week in two-hour shifts at the Central Library.
Due to the time spent on training and onboarding, volunteers must be able to make a commitment of at least six months. - Jace Turner Adult Education & Information Services Librarian
